National Grid, one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the world—covering Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island and the UK—is now the first utility country in the U.S. to bring home geothermal energy to a residential community.
GEO Niii is proud to be a part of this project. It was the GEO Niii geothermal pump used in the installation in Riverhead, Long Island. Ten homes in Glenwood Villiage will benefit from the loop system installed and now functioning to provide clean, affordable energy for the residents.
New York State has been a leader in finding ways to provide a cleaner more reliable and more affordable electric grid for the future. The State has set a goal to reduce its production of greenhouse gases 40% by the year 2030.
We are looking forward to more projects like this in New York State and all over the U.S.
