Have you ever wondered how clean the air is inside your child’s classroom? They spend over 60% of their time at school and polluted air causes 94% of all respiratory problems. The Environmental Protection Agency has reported that indoor air pollution levels can be 100 times higher than the air outdoors.
By the time a student graduates from High School they have spent 15,600 hours inside a school, this is second only to that spent at home. For the 50 million K to 12 students in the US it is a time of rapid physical growth, hormonal changes, intense learning & critical neurological & social development.
With each person inhaling over 3,500 gallons of air each day and over 50% of illnesses are caused or aggravated by polluted indoor air, it’s more important than ever to ensure clean indoor air quality. As a result of polluted air, more and more people are being diagnosed with asthma and about a third of them are children under 18.
In a new report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) they found that 36,000 K to 12 schools nationwide needed to update or replace their HVAC systems due to extreme heat and the potential for mold & air quality problems.
Geothermal energy systems will improve the Indoor Air Quality and Surface Pollution so our teachers and students can live in a cleaner and more comfortable environment.
Not to mention, the filtration system kills 85% of gasses and odors and reduces the risk or spread of viruses. In a COVID-19 world, this is necessary now and for the future!
